James Radcliffe was the ICS Resort Mission Chaplain in Wengen during the Easter period. He was helped by his wife Katie and two children. Here he looks back on his time in Wengen.

“ICS Resort Mission is a great opportunity to make Christ known. There is a super flat and church from which to minister the gospel and lots of natural opportunities to meet and serve English-speaking people from whatever nation in the resort.

The chaplain (and their team if they have one) can meet people naturally skiing, walking, in the hotels and cafes and on the trains and lifts. You need to be intentional and courageous and be willing to invite lots and have the right expectations of what response you will receive. The DHO Club and Facebook give further opportunities to connect with people.

One highlight is certainly gathering on a Sunday with others to hear God’s word and to praise Him; and there is still nothing better than explaining to adult or child why Jesus Christ is so special and why they in turn are special to Him.”
