Seventy years ago St John and St Philip The Hague was rebuilt from the ashes of war. So it was a joyful event to share a lunch together to mark this anniversary in the life of this wonderful church!

Chaplain Michael writes: 'It was moving to have an opportunity to mark Easter with members of the new Ukrainian community in the Netherlands and to break the decorated bread that they had baked in our kitchen. It was great to see people of all ages both spending time to meet new people and catching up with old friends. The food was excellent and our thanks to Didi and all our chefs from many lands.
One of our church family shared her St John & St Philip Sunday School book from 1952 complete with her Sunday School stickers which she was very proud of.

It was good that we were able to hold a book sale again on the King’s birthday (27 April) and huge thanks to those who organised it. It is exciting to meet a number of newcomers here and to hear your stories. We thank God for all those who have built, rebuilt and renewed the life of the church in the past. The need for a church which brings people together from every continent is needed more than ever. After a grim period of lockdown, the next chapter of the church story is now opening up and will be sustained by the prayers, energy, generosity and voluntary help of all.
