‘See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?’  Isaiah 43:19

On a sunny Sunday in late May James, our mission partner in Izmir, Turkey had the delight of baptising four adults.  After the morning service a group of twenty-five people boarded a minibus and several cars and headed out to a retreat centre near Ephesus which had a baptismal pool. What a terrific moment in the life and development of this work ICS is supporting in Turkey, and a great blessing to be able to share this story with you.

This year, ICS has been venturing into New Work in Kortrijk (Belgium), Ankara (Turkey), and Schiphol (The Netherlands). Additionally, we are financially supporting the development of New Work with existing mission partners in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) amongst Pakistani people and in France in Bordeaux, Lyon and Poitou-Charentes.  We continue to develop New Work in two locations in North Africa as well as having a keen involvement in Cairo.  We have just agreed to extend and increase our financing for the New Work we support in the EU Institutions.  Alongside Holy Trinity Brussels we are making the Outreach Worker post a full-time position, this will enable him to better respond to the needs and opportunities.  We are also pioneering a new Resort Outreach in Corfu

ICS is not what we were, and we will not be what we are.  We proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ in a changing world which makes the scripture above so relevant.  When I was ordained in Coventry Cathedral I was reminded of our calling ‘bring the grace and truth of Christ to this generation and making Him known to those in your care’.

To achieve this, we need your support.  We have been blessed by the faithful support of Christians with a passion for the Gospel and a desire to see Christ made known.  We ask you to stand with us in prayer and giving.  In prayer first and foremost, this is God’s work and prayer is essential, but also, financially.  If you give to ICS regularly could I ask you to consider increasing that gift?  Or, this October would you consider making a donation to ICS, be it £10, £100 or £1,000?  Your gift will enable us to develop New Work in new places and to further the mission and ministry of ICS.

Please help us if you can. Thank you.
